What card for use with steam link?

Have steam link in my loft with PC downstairs.

I have a 2GB 960 and doesn't seem to be doing good enough.

What's ideal for 1080p please?

4GB Sapphire Nitro at £199.99 will be pretty hard to beat.


Basically, if your budget stretches to £200-250 either a GTX 1060 or an RX 480.

If you can't stretch to that aim to get a 2nd hand 970 for ~£150.

I upgraded from a 670 to an RX480 partially for Steam Link usage, it fits the bill well.

I presume you are using nvidia encoding?

if you have a decent cpu try running the encoding on the cpu - i was using my i5 4670k to do it no problems (without the igpu) as amd encoding was really bad on my old 280x
