OK so im looking into getting a new GPU. Has to be GTX here are the choices I have:

These cards will probably be watercooled so thats why I'm so keen on EVGA
Anyways off with my choices:

1 x EVGA 570 £329
1 x Asus 480 £194
2 x 470 (OCUK Value) 2x£149
3 x 465 (OCUK Value) 3x£99
2 x EVGA 460 £135

I am honestly at a loss.. I like the EVGA cards, but the two clearance cards are so cheap...

Please help!! =P

2x 470 or 1x480

But remember that with the 470 OCUK are offering you could OC and achieve 480 power and if you get two OC them both and well you get effectively a 480 SLI setup for less than £300 cant beat that

I would get the 480 and watercool it, overclock it to 580 speeds, then down the line put another one and do the same, sli and thats done! :)

2 watercooled 470's if it's in your budget, where's rroff when you need him;), he's the man to ask as he's got 470 sli.

OK, OK

it is diffinately a tie between the 480 and the two 470s hmmmmm

I like the idea with the 480 I can get another one later down the line, but with the 470s going soooo cheap.....

hmmm no one commented on the 570? is the 5 series really worth all the extra £££s??

Thanks Guys!!!!

dont care about the game (already have it for ps3)

They are going to be WCed.. so would this really make a difference?

Cool didn't know that, but you still get PhyX with Nvidia =) plus, like i said, I am a Nvidia FanGirl =P

well the amd radeon cards 5/6 series can do physics too, PhysX is just an Nvidia patented tech that handles physics a bit better

I am a fanboy of nothing btw, the only thing I am a fan of is a simple thing called best bang for buck :)

HaHa, nothing wrong with that,

If I were to consider ATI, isn't the scaling terrible, as I have every intention of using crossfire/Sli. even if not in this upgrade.

Thanks again.

the 69** series cards scale very well in crossfire - but don't take my word for it, do a bit of research yourself

They do.
I would get the 470 Xfire. I am in the same predicament and i even plan to watercool. The 570 is a waste at this price. I've asked an OcUK competitor if they could match the 470 deal with EVGA cards instead. Try doing the same - even better, ask OcUK sales

Xfire scaling is phenomenal compared to amd 5 series:
