What card to buy

The 8800gts in 320mb and 640mb are old tech now, they are way behind the 8800gt 512mb (that first one you're looking at)

If you can stretch to a 8800gts 512mb, do because it is a bit better than the gt(and cooling wise too)

Thats why he said ignroe the 320/640mb one...Easy to understand.

Incase your out of the loop, the 512mb one is a revamp and considerably more powerful than iehter of the others.

Just buy the cheeper one mate, it'll do you fine. The GT isnt the holy grail of GPU's its made out to be on this forum. Just buy and enjoy.

You are running SLi, obviously it is going to perform well.

As a single card solution the GT is a fair bit better and deffo worth the extra tenner or so.

Don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but:

G80 core - 8800GTS 320 and 640 models (old tech)
G92 core - 8800GT 512 and 8800GTS 512 (new tech)

Even the 8800GT 512 with less memory is still considerably faster than the G80 counterparts. You've made the correct choice in terms of value for money :)

Thanks for all the info everybody without it i would have probably bought the 640mg cheap gts card.
I have now ordered the 512mg gt one and should get it tomorrow.
