I want to upgrade my graphics card from an old 7800GT in order to make the most of GTA4 when it comes out next month.

My PC at the moment is geared up to be pretty quite and I would liek to keep it that way - I have put Zalman coolers on both the 7800 and the CPU.

So I have about £150 to spend and don't want my machine to turn into a mass of high speed small noisy fans.

I also run two DVI monitors side by side so *** graphics card will need two DVI outputs.

Which cards are good at keeping quiet ?

Is this any good ?

i would go with the card you suggested

take a read through the guide in my sig for some good advice on different price points and warranty options

Useful read - thanks.

Good card for the price.
The GTX 260 / 4870 1GB are £80 more, and certainly don't offer £80 more performance (Unless you're playing at 1920 x 1200 or more). :]

My main monitor is a Dell 2407 (1920x1200) so I would like to be able to play at it's native res if possible - even if I have to turn some details down. Will the 4850 let me do this or will it struggle ?

A 1gb card would be slighly better for this res the passive 4850 is 1gb :D
