I have recently got hold of a 2nd machine for the missus to use, not something I would usually think of owning but it was an offer too good to refuse.

Its a Packard Bell something or other with:

22" Acer Widescreen
E4500 2.2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB Cache
2GB Memory
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS Graphics

I would like to replace the card as it doesn't seem all that good to me, so whats a good relatively cheap card to replace it with. Its not going to be overclocked, the better half will probably play some games on it but nothing in need of an 8800GTX.

What sort of PSU am I going to need for these cards? The one in the system doesn't look to beefy and if I'm reading it right its only 250W.

Your going to need a new PSU, just make sure that the mobo has a proper ATX connector. The likes of Packard Bell, HP et al tend to change a amount of pins on some systems.

Well a 250w isnt going to cut it.

Do you have a budget?
Not really, not thought about it, the pc cost me nothing so far so just sticking a half decent gcard and psu in it is a decent investment.

From the looks of it its a standard ATX v2 24 pin connector.
