Hey guys,

I'm building a mammoth machine for my friend.

This is the spec so far, however i am really struggling with a case that this would all fit in, any suggestions.

Thanks,

Shep.

3 580's on a 1080P screen? even with 3d thats totally mental. You also paying a bomb for that overclock when you can do it yourself quite easily and your paying for 2 cpu coolers.

xigmatek elysium, Silverstone rv02 white, Corsair 650d, cm acts 840, lian li pc-a71fb, lian li pc-z60, Silverstone fortress ft02... there is more but there is too many to list righ now :p

with 3x 580's you should really be looking at 30" screens no? as schnipps said its completely overkill for 1080p screens, and also with 3 580s i hope you will be watercooling? otherwise i feel your friend may have a fire on his hands :)

so can my girlfriends laptop but it doesnt mean its playable.

He want's virtually no slow down whatsoever.

3 x 580s @ 5760 x 3240 would be right.

playable on mine... obvs i meant playable, around 35-40fps on second highest and about 25-30 on highest.

surely with three it would be 5760x1080?

why do you have x2 vertex 3 ssds + Agility 3 in the basket ?

Edit: 2 gtx 580 is more than enough and why have you opted for the 2600k instead of the 2500k?

Guys Crysis 2 is still just DX9... the DX11 update is next week and then be prepared to go down severely in FPS.

It's certainly not depending on what you play. I have 3x GTX 580 1.5GB cards and 3x 1920x1200, and I can get memory usage above 1.5GB in ArmA 2, FSX, Falcon 4.0 AF (geo-mods).

Also before this I had 3x GTX 470 and before those 3x GTX 280 and the 3x GTX 580 with reference cooler are by far the coolest and quietest of these cards (I've used the same case for the last 4 years).
