What case is best for modding?

Hey people,
I am looking into building a fully customised PC case. I am after one that you can completely strip down and customise yourself, I mean literally take everything out. Also, as I do not have the skills or tools to be able to build my own parts, I need the parts to be easily available to purchase.

Basically I want to put in customised switches for the on/off button, add LCD screens and etc. In short, a fully/completely customisable case.

I know I am not picky or anything

Thanks for all the responses guys! Had a look at all the ones mentioned. http://www.caselabs-store.com/ does anyone know if there is a UK version of this store? Looks like a good one for what I need but does not seem to be operating in the UK.
