What case is solid but not an aircraft carrier?

Looking for a case that is manageable in size, but also very solid, good sound proofing, easy installation... an all round great case, just not on the massive size as many of the more highly regarded ones seem to be.

Ideally under £100. Any suggestions?

Those Fractal ones caught my eye too. Look very nice. I've got a Lian Li A05 mini tower at the moment, which is nice, but probably could do with something a bit bigger. Neither the Fractal or P183 give give dimensions... is there much between them?

Fractal R2
207mm (W) x 440mm (H) x 521mm (D)

Antec P183
205mm (W) x 514mm (H) x 507mm (D)

Another option is the Antec Solo Quiet Mini Tower Case:

It fulfils your stated requirements so far:
-manageable in size - 206mm (W) x 445mm (H) x 470mm (D)
-very solid
-good sound proofing
-easy installation
-all round great case under £100
+ a bit bigger than your current case (height; drive bay)

You'll find this substantially heavier than your Alu Lian Li.

Something I'll add to the reviews (not seen it mentioned) is that it has good cable management potential. With careful layout the runs from the PSU all fit behind the motherboard panel and beside the drive bays, so there's no wiring clutter in the main zone (= good airflow). This is pretty good for a smallish case. Note that normally accessed stuff isn't hidden behind doors and flaps. Connections are on the front (= good for under desk).

I've had this case a while now. First it was used to house a modest system at stock speeds, and it was all but absolutely, totally silent in this role (you had to get down under the desk with it to hear anything). Over the years I've upped the ante with system spec but the case has kept pace well. I'm currently using an overclocked Q6600, GTX 285 graphics and H50 water cooler with twin fans in push pull. I considered changing the case to accommodate this lot but after some thought I decided to mod the Solo (needed only a drill and hacksaw). It's still a cool and quiet case (but not silent).

Sorry for the essay, just wanted to explain the recommendation.
