What case p182 or 900 for........

The quietest case? If I got the 900, I would change the 3 fans for the Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D 800 RPM. I had my heart set on the p182, but apparntly that dont keep very cool? Im comming from a coolermaser wavemater case, with the awful 80mm fans. So with this new case I want total piece and quiet with NO lights.

are there any better quieter fans out there then the Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D if I went for the antec 900???

The 900 is better for cooling, but the P182 is far from bad :)

And as for noise, I think the P182 may have the advantage over the 900, though I havent actually played around with a 900 in person.
 
i use the antec 900 with 2 xsflex 800rpm front intakes, 1 x sflex 1200 exhaust, various other fan in the case, tuniq tower has sflex 1600rpm in it and the top fan on the antec 900 is on medium and its very quiet indeed.

If ppl can prove to me that the p182 will be cooler then my wavemaster, cos I had my heart set on that case, but bare in mind iv stuck a 120mm fan on the side of my wavemaster, and that knocks another good 10c off.

But on ther other hand if some more ppl can say the antec 900 is near silent, I will go for that, but I have 1 concern about the 900, the fan on my 3870 card keeps kicking in evey few mins and I can hear it over my fans in my wavemaster. So with the no sound damperning from the 900, it will kind of get annoying if the only noise I can hear is from the 3870 card every few mins.

I went from a wavemaster to a 900, the difference in noise levels were amazing, sure its not silent but with the 120mm fans on low and the 200mm fan on medium its far from noisy either. If you can change the fans for the 800rpm ones mentioned I'd imagine you would be pretty pleased with it.

From the gfx cards, I guess the double sloted cards dont make a lot of heat in the case, but my 3870 card is a single slot, so it throws all the heat in the case, and in the summer my room gets as hot as 30c, so will the p182 cope in the summer?
 
Everyone who comes on these forums will have a favourite, but you need to disregard the people who tell you this is awful this is the dogs and decide on whats best for you adn that will depend upon what it is your trying to achieve.

If you want max cooling get the 900, that case will cool even the hottest components during the summer, if you want a more discrete case with cooling thats very good but not quite as good as the 900 then get the 182. Each case has its plus points some will suit one user whilst some will suit others.
 
My gut feeling, if i get a p182 my pc will cook during the summer,and with not having a double sloted card, it will make things worse.. Like I soooooooo want the p182, but will it stay cool. If i had a double sloted card I dont think it would be a issue.
 
But Ive mounted a 120mm fan on the side, and thats knocked a good 12c off, Someone pointed out the mini p182, and that had better cooling and its nice and silent. but I cant find a place that sells it?

A friend of mine has an ocuk system built with the antec 900 and the thing is practically silent. I dunno if they swapped fans out or whatever but when he got it he turned it on and thougt it was dead, only to realise the fans at the front had lit up and it was booting up. Was so quiet he didn't even know it was on. Ive been there and seen it first hand when he's playing games and the only thing audiable is the dvd drive, system has a core 2 @ 3ghz (artic freezer), 8800gts 640 and a bfg psu.
 
Im gong to go for the antec 900, cos I dont think I will be dissapointed, like if I went with the p182 I think I would be, cos my gut feeling thinks its going to get a tad toasty in there during the summer months, plus Im getting a E8400 and wanting to overclock that to at least 3.6.

Im gonna change the 2 front fans with 800rpm and a 1200rpm on the back. So are there any better and quieter fans out there then the "Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D" ones??
