I would choose a CPU first, and buy a motherbord based on that to be honest.

but for the moment will a AMD atholon 64 3500+ Socket AM2 be ok till i can get new chip!

3500 is 939, a phenom II x2 550 is perfect for the job

As long as you are going to transfer or buy DDR2 RAM to the new MOBO it should should be good
