I would keep them black with a white, silver or blue stripe

maybe gloss black with a white/silver tape i think they just look a bit dull at the moment

never go more than 3 colors you've already got blue an black as major with silver engine parts as a 3rd minor color white will just look awful.

silver to match the engine or black is the only real options but tbh the plain black they are is fine.

Dunno about that, the white might be ok because of the silver / chromey bits? Then again I suppose the sun in the pic makes the silver looks more white, so might end up looking a bit weird in real life.

I do reckon blue tape is worth a go though. Can't be that expensive to try?

Manius, you've made me want to either go Mad Max style on my old Hornet, or really tidy it up and have at as a second 'something different to ride' bike

Are you painting them yourself or having them powder coated? Powder coated will last longer

ill get them powder coated the swing arm and mounts are powder coated

much better finish i painted the forks and yokes a few years back and they need redoing so ill get them powder coated too

White would need a lot if cleaning too? Looks OK on that bike but they have a blue bellypan and rear hugger to break it up

Except that has a silver frame and swingarm, and it looks gash. Black or silver are the only colours that won't clash horribly.

I painted my rear wheel white..worst idea ever. my wheel stays constantly dirty as I just cba to clean it every day.

Yes! but why stop there, why not do the forks half of one color and the other half another
