so which colour is best?

Edit: ooops wrong section could someone please move to motors?
Cheers

Hmm, white looks okay, red as above looks a bit tacky.

What's the deal with the red one being the whole of the centre console and the white being just the bottom bit? Are you planning on painting the whole thing white? That might be a bit OTT, although obviously it depends on the colour and type of your car and the colour of your seats.

Red (cherry)

Damn you for replying whilst I typed!

Try the red one. Or better yet, get one the the scrap yard, paint it red, take some pictures and let us look at them. Preferably with the exterior visible a bit too.

Yeah i intend to paint the whole thing white then maybe put a thick layer of laquer over it (i like that colour as youll see if you click the "case" link in my sig)

The whole car? Or just the bit of the console?

just the console mate (I wish the whole car...) I reckon white is going to come back into fashion with cars soon

I was thinking that red looks a little sporty.. and with it being a HDi it isnt exactly a hot hatch... im leaning towards the more subtle and classy white

Not sure about the lacquer though, might make it look a bit tacky. If the bits aren't too expensive and not too time consuming, you could always do a couple, fit them in, see what they look like.

yeah I have sprayed the other sections matt white this evening and ill fit them tommorow (and take pics) to see if they need lacquer

White looks better than red, it could get dirty though, especially around the control/switch gear.

Perhaps some sort of silver, there are so many shades. A darker gun metal may look nice.
