Hi guys,

We're after a new combi boiler!! We've got a 2 bedroom house with 1 bathroom. Kitchen has a washing machine and a dishwasher. I think we probably need something between 30 and 35kW? This is because we have extremely high water pressure here.

We're probably only be here for another 2 or 3 years, so don't want to spend too much.

Any suggestions guys?

Also, how much would fitting it cost approx? We've had quotes from some local companies but they've all been silly money!

Thanks,

Mal

Worcester Greenstar 532i, I wouldn't fit anything else. Boiler's probably £1200 so I'd get one fitted for around £2k all in.

The Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE won a Which! group test & has a 5* energy rating. They're always advertising it on TalkSport & they did have a compo to win one.

Only 1 Bathroom so a 25KW (I can't see why high water pressure means you need a greater output) would be fine. We had a Gloworm 25CXI Condensing Boiler fitted for £1200.

Avoid anything by Potterton and watch Worcester Bosch as although it is a good name they have been rapidly going downhill recently and started getting a reputation (and they are expensive to boot)

Cheers. Glow Worm was one of the ones we were looking at.

The reason for the higher output, was that with the high mains pressure, when having a shower, we need the hot water to be able to keep up with the cold water.
