What combination is better?

just wondering what is better all round ?

1) 2070 super and a 9900k
2) 2080 super and a 8700k

I’m leaning towards number 2.

does that sound better for 3840x1089 gaming??

this^^ its not even close. In gaming you'd likely never notice the difference between the 8700k and the 9900k, but the 2080s could give you upto 20% more performance

I meant that if youre gaming, then the better GPU will be better than a CPU upgrade.
