just buaght a new 50inch plasma and want a new games console either a 360 or a ps3

what one is best i like the ps3 as it can play my dvds and bluerays and plays games

360 only plays dvds and considering my tv is now hd i would like to test some bluerays i think only thing is i like gears of war and number 2 is coming out soon ><


any advice please ? im a casul gammer like shooting /army/fight/rpg games
 
I think you answered your own question when you said you would like Bluray, leaves you with only one choice really.
 
Why buy a standalone BR player when he could get a PS3 which plays a lot of the games the Xbox360 offers and has a better BR player than most stand alones, certainly in that price bracket?

Get a PS3 if you want Bluray, 360 if you want to play gears of war 2, simple as lol. Well i guess you could play gears 2 round a friends house, or borrow another mates PS3 to watch BDs on your TV (great help aint I :D)
Asking which one is best only causes fanboy wars, and in the end most is down to personal preference regarding controller, exclusive games, noise etc etc.
 
You've bought a 50" plasma, so treat yourself to both consoles if you can't decide :p
But if it's one, Playstation 3 would be my choice.

cause ps3 aint very good for casual games
and the 360 has a much better catalogue
and its very cheap
he only wants to test blu ray
 
go for the ps3, stand alone blueray players are still expensive, the ps3 will have some better games coming out in the future and psn can only get better.

The PS3 isn't too expensive, not compared to what it was.
The PS3 has over 100 games, so you're hardly short on games - if you want more you have all the PS1 back catalogue too.
 
thanks for opions guys i like the sound of the ps3 matchs my plasma can a blueray player play hd dvds ? this would sell it to me like i said i love gear of wars the game is just brilliant

people also tell me the garfics on games are better on the 360 even though ps3 is better spec as they havnt used ps3 to its full potental

yes i like dvds but i want a wii also so its 360 and wii and a hd player (ino tis a dead format but dvds for 3 pound each is great :D)

or ps3 and wii

im leaning towards the ps3 as i liked my ps2 better than my xbox
 
Sounds like a PS3 would suit you better imo especially if you're after blu rays :) So I'd go with what Nokkon's saying.

You could always buy a 360 at a later date when GoW2 is out if you change your mind, they're getting stupidly cheap now, so you could have them all :D
