I used to have party's in those early days where about 12 men would come to my house and we get very drunk while playing on the Atari. A little bit later I'd get the projector out, load up the cine film and play a pron film for about 5 minutes.
A couple of years later Mattel bought out the awesome Intellivision which completely wiped the floor with the Atari 2600 and then the most advanced console of its day was the Colecovision. I can't remember the next console after that.
ZX80, ZX81, Spectrum, C64, BBC Micro, Spectrum, Dragon 32 etc were all home computers.
