Hi there,

I was wondering, what card can my graphics card beat on the nvida side?
I have a ATi X800 XT. Was wondering what is the highest card from nvidia I could put it against an win...? :)

It'd probably take a 6800GT, maybe even a 6800 Ultra

Having a look at Tom's Hardware VGA charts, it seems this is about right. The X800 XT sits between these two cards on some tests, but when you start bumping up the AA/AF it tends to beat the 6800 Ultra by a little. On 3dmark06 it's right between the two @ 1024x768, no AA/AF.

Ah, cool. Thanks guys. :D

Is it safe to overclock these cards, or do they not go very far/ or not a lot of proformance gain?

It is as safe as for any other card if that is what you mean :) They do have temperature sensors so just keep an eye on the temperature as you go and test with 3dmark once you think you have a decent overclock.
