what could stop a site loading for someone?

not sure if this is the right section but i thought someone here might know the answer

my girlfriend has a gallery on a site she runs and for some reason she cant access it anymore, she has tried from multiple pc's in her house and with both web browser and a ftp client, the page is loading for everyone else who has checked so i have no idea what could be causing it

Assuming she can access other websites I would say it's most likely a DNS issue.
Has she changed web hosts recently?

Try restarting the router and see if it works afterwards.
If it still doesn't work, try using the PING command from the cmd line and see if the IP address that her computer is pinging is the same as the IP address that your computer pings.

Could be that her host has blocked her IP for some reason. Happened to me once when I tried to login with the wrong password by mistake about 5 times. Quick support email sorted it. Worth a shot.

thanks for the replies, we checked the ping in command prompt but its getting nothing
she sent a email to the host but is waiting on a reply and she is just about the restart the router
