Something like CCNA or MCSA but they, 3 yr ago were not of interest and too hard now a days I am more interested as I've had microservers (might reset up) and my asus rt66u router in college we got 0 practical in college and since I can only really learn friom doing things than reading, nows a good time

Looking for servers, networking not comp hardware/sys supp

What certs are a good cross? I would like it to be easier/shorter, I just plan on learning at home really, what about CompTIA Networking? and CompTIA Servers? I did a+ in college. What about CCNP?

Any links to sites on it or free pdfs (Kindle) would be cool.

If you found CCNA too hard and not interesting then I can say with 100% certainty that a CCNP is not for you.

There isn't any certificate worth having that hands you a piece of paper for setting up an Asus router and plugging your microserver into it. You could study for a CompTIA but I don't really see the point.

Obviously if you knew what you wanted to do then that would help people help you. If you want to do networking then a CompTIA Server+ is pointless. If you want to travel around replacing bits of Dell or HP servers for a pittance then go for it.
