Sooo... I have an AMD x4 9650, it runs at 2.3Ghz. I know, not exactly hardcore, but for a £450 system I'm not complaining!
Anyway, I have recently got into video editing and am looking for more from my CPU! I was thinking of upgrading from the stock cooler to a better, and quieter, cooler and doing a little overclocking.
I'm not too keen on over-voltage, and would prefer to stay out of the BIOS, coz I'm a noob that can't afford new hardware! I have a tool called 'T-Utility OverclockIII' with came with the motherboard. This allows me to test it safely.
So, what cooler would you recommend? And how much should I overclock to without over-volting. I would over-volt A BIT, but I would rather stay safe!
To get the 3GHz would be AMAZING, but I'm not expecting that. My budget for a cooler is £25, maybe a bit more. Ideas?
