Well im just about to order my complete new system and i've decided on the Noctua as the reviews look mint...

But.. and this is a big but..... The first review on the feedback on the shop for the A70 says hes running his i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz and has idle temps of 29 and load temps of 50-55oC..

Seems too good to be true, but it would be nice to see what temps others are getting with the A70 as this sort of speed..

i was thinking the same its near half the price the a70 and if it works well would be nice to get someone who has one to give more info on it ?

These load temps you read of, does it say what kind of load? As thats a pretty average temp for a gaming load, stress load I would say the A70 is going to be in the 70's, while the noctua will be high 60's at most for 4.5ghz.

At the moment along side the silver arrow the D14 is the best air cooler on the market...fact

Edit: I should read first, the guy does say its a prime load....thats not bad for a £30 cooler to be honest, depends how tight your purse strings are? I would still go for the noctua if it was a realistic option.

My A70 (With Fan Speed restricters and stock fans):

Stock i5.
Averages high 30s at idle, never seen it go above 60 in Prime.

The Noctua is one of the kings of cooling. If you can afford it, get it.

I've got a V10 and it does the trick for me. Just make sure you get the set up in the HAF X case right. If you plan the build you can get a perfect airflow so all the fans intake points are getting a good flow of cold air.

If you don't have a lot of CD drives then I would recommend installing a fan in the front pays behind the clip covers. This will suck air in the front of the case and blow it straight at the CPU cooler, which can then suck that cold air in and blow it straight at your rear outtake fan.
