Hey all wonder if someone could point me in the right direction please. I currently have a HTPC in me and the Mrs bedroom. It has the 4690 processor i5. Now we have all our collection of BluRays 1080p remuxes with different audio formats. Now we decided we was going to use the HTPC to be our plex server so added two 5tb WD reds to save money on a NAS. Now our tv downstairs is currently connected with a Android box but not keen on the PLEX app. And we also want kodi aswell. But to run them differently and not like PLEXMBC. So im after a gigabyte brix with windows but not sure what processor i would need and what to look for there is that many options. So something not to over priced not needing big SSD due to it been used mainly for plex client and kodi aswell as browsing. Any advice that would play the files ok 25-35 gig films with DTS-HD-MA and TRUEHD audio many thanks

I wont be using KODI for my collection of films i be using plex for my collection from our HTPC which is used for the plex server just wanting a box for down stairs to use kodi differently to plex. Kodi will only be used mainly for streaming content like tv shows exc not my film and music collection. The android box runs kodi and plex but its just the android plex app its awful very plain and boring and kodi runs miles better on windows after using it on our HTPC to Android its just lag on Android

Just want to know what processor to look for cheap as poss. Don't need nothing special like an i3 or anything there be no gaming just something powerful enough to bitstream my 1080p collection and do the Audio. Just need to know really what boxes to look out for and to keep away from really. Thanks for the reply and help its appreciated :)

Edit I am toying with the idea of buying the Amlogic S812 but this could prove to suffer the same problem when using my preferred Kodi.[/QUOTE]

My Android box is running the Amologic s812 if your wanting an Android box you want the minix u1 it has HDMI 2.0.2.2 for 4K And has the new 905 chip instead of the s812
