I have just built a new media center. and as expected i got carried away with the speck one thing led to another and i ended up getting a 7900 gt for it so i could use the dvi-hdmi cable and pure video software. (i know i didant need to go as far as the 7900gt for this but the wife dont know that...)
anyway i also have a dell 9300 laptop with the 6800 go chipset and to be honest im dissapointed because the laptops no slower it seems in hl2 ect.
is the AM2 3000 chip in the media center a massive bottleneck ? and if so whats the cheapest chip to solve the problem ?
also if i try to install nvidia drivers from there website i get a hardware not surported msg ? so im stuck with the driver on the cd and i know there never good.
the cards a club3d 7900 gt i know club have a bad rep but it was cheap so....
