My e6300 is sitting at 1.325v (clocked at 3.01ghz) with temps of 40C idle and 55 under load. I'm wondering voltage other people are using as i may try lowering it to decrease the temps a bit more.

im using 1.25v at 3.08 on my e6300.

btw 55c load is fine tbh if its with both cores loaded i get 62c sometimes.

What cooler do you use?

Stock clock speeds on an E6300 here, 1.25v, temps are ~40'c idle, ~53c full load.

My next steps:
Do something to the top of my case to let hot air out
lap CPU with finer grain paper than the 1500 I already used
lap ACF7
see what temps are, if not so good I'll get a better cooler
THEN I might overclock.

Not really a good idea to overclock at my temps, is it..?

lol :)

i belived this has been done?? or some one was pulling my leg

Soak all your components in oil expect the psu and submerge it in water (except the psu) and then submerge it in water....

any volenteers?

1.35 for 465*7 (3.25GHz)
Idle 37C
Load 47C

Thats with TT120 at max speed, I would normally set my TT120 to 1500rpm so I don't get a headache :p

1.26v for 3.1ghz. (stock air)
1.34v for 3.4ghz (stock air)
1.4v for 3.7ghz. (water)
^^ Are orthos stable at these speeds.

and ~ 1.5v for 4.2ghz (only pi1m stable, however thats a ram or mobo limit not CPU) - phase cooled.

Wish my 6300 was that good :( Above 480*7 only 1 of my cores is stable no matter what the volts.

1.3375V @ 3.29GHz
around 37C idle and 47C under load.
using Tuniq Tower with Arctic Silver paste, unlapped.
CPU fan at full speed.

E6300 @3.325
42 deg C under heavy load super pi and prime 95 both cores
31 deg C now using forum :)
cpu core: 1.46250v
tuniq tower 12mm surounded by 2 1200 mm case fans
:D
