Hello folks

I've been endlessly faffing over a motherboard for a new i7 12700K build.
I finally think I've decided on the Asus Z690 TUF Gaming D4.
Now I need to decide on the DDR4 RAM.
I need 128GB of the stuff. Ideally 3600, but maybe 3200 would do. I want to keep latency to a minimum as this machine will be for music production.
Any ideas what 128GB kit would work best with the Asus board mentioned?

Thanks very much

Look on the qvl list for your motherboard if you want gauranteed campatability.

Crucial ballistic is c16 is usually a decent price but looking hard to get.

I'm looking at this kit: Corsair Vengeance LPX 128 GB (4 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Is it any good?
But maybe I should go for the 3200 rather than the 3600?
The timings of the 3600 are 18-22-22-42
And the 3200 are 16-20-20-38.
I know for timings lower numbers are generally better, but what do you think would be best out of these two?

Thanks

Still curious about the difference between 3600 CL18 (18-22-22-42) and 3200 CL16 (16-20-20-38).
If practical performance is virtually identical, why do they bother making two distinct kits?
Can anyone help?

Thank you.
