Just been watching repeats of Quantum Leap this week and just saw Coupling and it made me think - how good were they when they first aired and how good they still are...

Ive got most of the QL seasons already and will probably get Coupling - forgot how funny it was (much funnier than stupid Friends). QL and Red Dwarf are easily my favourite shows from yester-year

So what series have you recently unearthed and thought 'Jesus I forgot how good this was'

ps3ud0

Ideal

You have to watch series 1 you cant really watch them in the odd episode as you wont get thing's later on and the character's persona's.

Funniest thing in ages!

Ask me when I finally get round to watching my Between the Lines DVD, it must be like 15 years old now.

Actually, I'll choose This Life. Still as funny and relevant as it was when it aired some 11-12 years ago, in fact even more so now that I'm in their age bracket.

Im surprised more people haven't heard of How I Met Your Mother really. I think its a superb show, closer to Coupling than Friends and with some really smartly written storylines.

Red Dwarf is still good all those years later :) Timeless.

I had a bout of nostalgia and downloaded some X-files eps from when I was a kid. Ugh. Totally ruined my memory of that show being awesome; it sucked, didn't it :p

Well, some of the early eps were OK. But boy did it die a death in the later series.

Star Trek: TNG

Not a huge Trek fan - absolutely loath Voyager and Enterprise. I would like to give DS9 a chance tho. Movies are famously hit and miss...

But TNG is just so fun and easy to watch. The characters are all memorable (unlike other Trek series) and even when it's cheesy and dumb it's still enjoyable. Am now collecting all the boxsets :)

Babylon 5

Just started rewatching it, not seen it in years, yeah the CGI is terrible now, and the acting is terribly cheesy, but its such a fun watch :D

Batman TAS :)

I recently watched the feature length one with the phantom. I'm going to work my way through all of them now I think :)
