yesterday during the Royal Wedding?

Did you watch the Royal Wedding or did you do something else and if so, what did you do?

My wife and I decided it was an opportune time to do a little shopping, and I have never seen our local supermarket so empty. The city centre was precincts were also bereft of the usual crowds.

Later in the day we attended a party held by my step-father.

So OCuk, are you dyed in the wool Royalists glued to the TV or was it simply an excuse to have a few sherbets or do the shopping?

Unfortunately I was incredibly hungover, so I watched the whole thing from the comfort of my bed. Then went to a pig roast afterwards in my local.

Woke up at 1:30pm
Turned on TV
Laughed at how many people were out supporting the Royal family.
Turned TV off
Went on PC.

I dusted off my final project presentation during the ceremony, then went to a party on some green with a load of people from another neighbourhood who I mainly didn't know.

I actually live about 600 metres from Buckingham Palace, fortunately its behind it and to the left away from all the crowds. I went for a bike ride and then made the trek through Hyde Park to get to Marble Arch Odeon where I watched Thor :D

I watched it from beginning to end then watched the highlights when I went to bed. (Just in case I'd missed anything the first time around) :D

Went into Kingston, watched Fast and Furious 5 (Fast Five) which I thought was probably the best in the series so far. Then went out for a meal. Missed the whole lot. :D

Had it on in the background whilst I was building up my latest set of wargaming minis. What I saw of it was quite nice. :)

I remembered that being British is, in general, a good thing.

Here, here. This country has its faults and in certain areas it should be much better, but so many people whine about it you'd think Britain was a dump. To the haters I'd say pop over to Uganda and then say you hate GB!
