What did you do......

How so? Your nationality has no bearing on how good your life is.

I wasn't born in this country but I came here at a very young age, even thou I consider myself English and am very patriotic of this country and have no ties or intentions of ever going back to where I was born, there are certain things that affect me, for example, when I was young I really wanted to join the RAF and I still do somewhat, it's something I've always wanted to do and I believe every men should do at some point of their lives, but I can't, because I wasn't born here :)

That's just a small example, obviously we don't need to go any further then to compare someone who lives in Iraq to someone who lives here, or the average person who lives in Angola to someone who lives in Germany.

Work all day, sneaked a bit of the wedding on my boss' laptop, it was pretty epic, although it felt incredibly scripted/forced (no emotion).

I understand that point - that you would assume someone in Britain would have a better life than someone in Cambodia, we are of course lucky to be born in a western country, but theres people in Britain who's life is worse than most peoples in third world countries.

I was driving from London to Edinburgh during the wedding so didn't watch it - missing it wasn't entirely intentional but it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss having the time off and when a number of people wouldn't be on the roads.

I've since seen some highlights and I wish them well and all but I struggle to get up much enthusiasm for it.

Did you watch the Royal Wedding or did you do something else and if so, what did you do?

I'm not really too interested in the Royals, but I sat and watched it as I didn't have much else on and it was history in the making. Also everyone looked nice :p

BBC commentators / pundits were shocking. Cringe!

Watched it up until the ring, then paid less attention but it was still on.

Worked, came home early, invited the lads round, drank Beer & played Battlefield 2 until about 5AM :)

Well...

- Watched it on TV
- Shower at 6ish
- Went to Pall Mall and bought a few cans with a mate
- Walked up towards Buckingham Palace with said cans
- Spoke to a 30 stone man who wanted a cigarette. Turns out he had been camping out since 7pm the previous night and was off home to the Isle of Wight
- Confused a Thai lady who thought i wanted more than a dance :o
- Saw Huw Edwards
- Met 2 Scottish guys who were real guards - those ones who wear those black furry hats! I thought they were joking until i saw the pictures! :o
- Sat by the London Eye drinking
- Went to a girl's flat \o/

Did the same as the Op and did our weekly shop. Tesco was practically empty and we had the first clear run on the roads to and from Elgin for ages. Also went to Homebase and got some more plants. Got home had dinner and went out in the garden for most of the afternoon. The only bit of the wedding i saw was on the news and even then i did'nt pay much attention to it.

I left the house at 8am and drove to Chain Reaction Cycles, spent an obscene amount of money and then listened to the ceremony on Radio 2 on the way home.

I watched it on the TV on and off while doing other odd jobs around the garden/house, and then spent time with my family as my Mum held a Blue Cross tea party.

It was lovely.
