Okies, it's about 4 years ago when Woolies left the high street and became online-only. The branches were usually quite large and I thought it would be interesting to share what your local ones became.
For me in Stafford, Woolies left at the end of 2008, closed very briefly then it became a sports shop called Sports Direct.
For my parents in Bridgnorth, theirs actually stayed very similar to a Woolies content-wise, but under a new name and cheaper and nastier.
