I have a Q9650@3Ghz and at the moment it runs all my games without a problem with a EVGA GTX 570 SC.

But once Ivy Bridge is released I'll be upgrading to a whole new system. In the meantime I'm considering OC'ing my CPU to 3.8Ghz, what difference does it make in games such as Crysis2 with the FPS?

Thanks, AStaley.

In Crysis 2 I doubt you would see much of an increase, Do you feel like you have a cpu bottleneck?

No, not really. All my games at the moment run smooth with the highest settings. I'm just getting itchy fingers about building a new PC. But I really want the IB CPU and the MB to go with it. So going to settle for the time being with a new case (Corsair 650D) and replacing my cooler with a Corsair H60 and try something I've done before in OC'ing my CPU.

AStaley.
