What do higher end mobo's offer that this on doesnt?

ah ok, well that doesn't bother me as I'll only be using 1 Graphics card.

Is that all they offer extra? Sorry I don't know much about motherboards.

onboard sound chips, like ASUS ROG boards as well as their fancy BIOSs. I personally cant think of anything else, I'm sure someone else will :)

Higher quality components (Capacitors etc) and a better quality PCB and more VRM's so its more stable at high overclocks.

Better VRM heatsinks/cooling.

More SATA ports, USB2.0/3.0 ports.

@ penguin Can they really justify the extra though? I mean couldn't you buy a dedicated sound card for less than they're charging for a motherboard with onboard sound chips.

I see, all these things though aren't a problem for me. I guess for some people that might be necessary but for most wouldn't this board do just fine?

Higher end boards can also offer better onboard LAN ie Intel over Realtek,Intel LAN has lowest CPU usage and in general considered the best, end of the day stick to a budget you are happy with and go for what you want and need,no right or wrong when it comes to your money your choice.

Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 is a decent board at a good price so hard to go wrong.

Well, its better for some people to have on board sound, more USB ports and better cooling like Stulid said, especially for hardcore overclockers.
