What do I attach thermistors with?!

I'm just in the middle of a rebuild and need to attach the thermistors to things like the south bridge and a PCI-e SSD. Can anyone recommend tape to attach them with? Originally they had some sort of yellow tape that stuck nicely but I need to replace it and duct tape didn't cut it

Is Kapton tape likely to work? Temp range is more than adequate but not sure it it'll stick.

Many thanks,

Gareth

Looks good but double-sided. I'm not sure if a really small piece between the thermistor and the top of the heatsink would hold it on. Have you used it for this?

@ChocolateStarfishRammer: I had a friend who wired up his car speakers by attaching the wires to the speakers with clay. You sure you're not related?!

I was looking at Kapton tape as it has the appropriate heat resistance for the job. The PCI-e SSD hits at least 60C without working hard. I was a bit put off as in the pics I've seen it seems sort of coppery in colour but I spotted one where some had been unwound from the reel and it's thin yellow tape so it looks to be the same stuff that was originally supplied with the thermistors and that worked fine. I'll let you know when I've got my hands on it and tried it out.

Thanks all.

Yay! Kapton tape has arrived! Is it bad that I got excited by f'ing sticky tape arriving in the post? It is, isn't it :( Is it a sign that I need to ignore my rationalisations that the CPU, MB, RAM and GFX card don't need upgrading?! :D

I was confused by the coppery colour but when you 'peel' it it's yellow like the original stuff. This is the 20mm wide and seems perfect for attaching thermistors. 100ft for a few quid. Holding nicely so far. Gives me something to worry about now that I can see my SSD is running at 63°C with a max operating temp of 70°C. Meh, who needs blissful ignorance anyway ;)
I did vaguely thing of trying to cobble a water block onto the heatsink but maybe when it's out of warranty anyway!
