oh noes.

I just woke up from a delightful nap to find the contact in my right eye is either missing or stuck somewhere in there.

what do i do? Is it safe to leave a contact in my eyes?

i hope this isn't medical...

Best thing to do is to physically take your eyeball out of the socket and have a look;).

Seriously though its highly unlikely that its going to be behind your eyeball...its probably stuck in your eye somewhere.

Mind you im sitting here wondering how the hell you managed to get on OCUK to write this thread...:confused:p

Your contact lens cannot get stuck behind your eye, unless you have a hole in your conjunctiva for some reason.

It has either fallen out or is in your eye lids - if the latter was true you'd sure as hell know about it.

I usually find mine top right of my eye if it goes walk abouts. Gets all rolled up.

Best way to get it I find is to blink loads so your eyes gets all wet and then just feel around your eye for it. Looking down usually makes it easy to get for me. :)

I've had one stuck kinda in the top corner of my eye a few times, a bit of fishing around, poking, blinking, eye drops, more poking and wiggling of the eye eventually releases it

does tend to leave you with a very red eye though, thing is I couldn't really tell it was there so thought I'd lost it one time, it was hiding all along though

Contacts can slip up under your top eyelids quite easily and won't cause much irritation, unless you leave it in there for a while. As mglover070588 said, pull your eyelid up and look down and it should fall out.
