My Grandson stays here every Friday night, and wants a computer that will be able to play the new cod. The problem I've got is I have no income, so intel is out of the question.
The old system is
Intel 6300 (later version) @ 3.8
8 gig of ddr2 ram
Graphic's card is better than 7700

I looked at the amd chips but I'm totally confused. Can anyone spec me a cheap upgrade to replace the old one. Needs 8 gig of ram.
psu case and gpu will be okay for the time being.

Below £200 if possible.

If I was you I would have a look in the MM and pick up some bargains. You should be able to get a 2500k/3570k, decent Z77 motherboard and 8Gb of ram for £160-180.

Just called overclockers, and got a good deal on a I5 @ 3.1
