I'm not saying I'm definitionally getting a Mac as I not a millionaire but I'm thinking of saving up until I can afford one. These are the things I'd likely use it for
Editing radio shows for charity I work for. Being creative with photos. Creating decent looking videos for raising money for the Autism charity I volunteer for and making crap videos look more professional for Youtube as an hobby. I might make it dual bootable for Win7 too as there's bound to be still Windows stuff I'll want to use.
I'd like a Macbook. I'd likely connected to my HD TV now and then. I hope optical audio is available as I can connected to my sound system then.
I hear when you come to upgrade your old Mac keeps their value for resale for longer which is cool as it would making getting new Macs more affordable over the years
