what do i need for my cam collection and accessories?

right so far i have my 350d with 18-55mm USM kit lens,
canon shoulder bag (e.g. neon flashing 'steal me' sign)
58mm UV filter
58mm IR Filter
58mm ND8
IR wireless shutter

what should be next on the shopping list?

sigma 10-20mm is definitely on there
i want a telephoto with macro ability - any suggestions?


and i want the lowepro orion tracker 2, anyone have this bag? anyone know if the top section will be able to hold a 12" iBook in a crumpler bag?

10-20 is a interesting next purchase unless you're doing a lot of landscape work. I'd look at maybe the sigma 70-300 APO DG, macro functionality and a reasonable telephoto zoom for not very much money

depends how much you want to spend, none of the telephoto macros are going to be as good as a real macro lens. so if you can afford it buy them seperately, unless of course you don't plan on doing much macro stuff

yup i intend on doing a lot of landscape stuff

erm, i do very little macro work, it would just be nice to be able to do it... anyone suggest a reasonably cheap macro lens?

like i said, the sigma 70-300 APO DG has macro functionality of one kind or another and is pretty good

i don't know how much the sigma 10-20 is but i'd be careful of splashing out on it even for landscape, some of my landscape stuff is online here...

..none of it used any wider than a 17mm, so think carefully about it

about £280 as an import and trust me the difference between 18mm and 10mm is well worth it - or will be when i can afford it
