What do I need to lots of hdd's?

I know its a stupid question.

My current motherboard has 4 sata slots, so that means 4 sata hdd's.
Im buying a new pc and was wondering what do I need to have more hdd's, which motherboard support more sata slots?

There was a thread somewhere here where I listed the most common P35 Intel boards with more than 4 SATA ports on them. Failing that, get a PCI(-e) card, can cost as little as £10.
