I recenctly built a new rig, rather than get rid of the old one i left it downstairs for the mrs to play her games on.
Im trying to find the easiest way for the two to work wireless with each other.

At the moment both computers talk to a Orange (wanadoo livebox) via little inventel wireless adapters.
Is it possible with the equipment i have for the computers to talk to each other as appose to just the livebox? Or is more equipment needed and if so what?

Many thanks

The Livebox is a rebranded wireless router but I don't know who the manuf was/is so you should theoretically have everything you need, have you set up a work group and shared any files ?

Provided you are on the same subnet (which I assume you are), you should be able to talk to each other right now. Find out the network IP (Usually something like 192.168.0.?) of either computer and try to ping it from the other (Start -> Run -> "cmd" -> "ping 192.168.0.?"). If that works, then that's the computers talking to each other right there and then.

You should be able to set up a workgroup (or something to that effect) in Windows XP and start sharing files etc. right away :)
