What do I need to upgrade?

When I play the rts warhammer mark of chaos, sometimes the game will jam for a few seconds and sounds will loop when there is a lot of activity on the screen.

What components do I need to upgrade to eliminate this?

Might be worth adding another gig of ram as the cheapest solution - what Oc have you got?

None, I know I know.

I have an alpine cooler, but I have no idea how to go about it, also my ram arrangement is crappy, I have 2x 256mb ddr400 sticks and 1 512mb ddr333 stick. I will be upgrading to a c2d system at the end of the school year, so I'll add another gig then as ddr2 is a fair bit cheaper than ddr I have found. I just need to find some idiot I can rip off when selling my 3500+.

If it's happening when there are lots of units onscreen I go for the unit texture detail and see what that does.

Just put all the settings on min and I got around 7-8 fps on that map. Which is a joke considering my pc is better then the reccomended specs for the game, and there is no spyware on the pc. I am going to run pc mark and 3d mark to try to identify any performance issues.
