What do i use to test gfx overclocks are stable?

did a bit of testing yesterday

Furmark;

1150/1350 20% power boost - max:89c

1150/1350 0% power boost - max:82c

BF3 for 30mins

1150/1350 0% power boost - max:68c

So my question is; whats the power boost for on the OC settings and is it required?

Oh and i overclocked my CPU to 4.5ghz, used an offset of 0.160 with high llc, gives me about 1.26v underload max core temp 66c. Goig to either increase the clock or try to lower offset. I just set it at this and it booted fine first time :)

Furmark doesnt do anything for me apart from test temps and make my cards whine like hell.
I can loop furmark for hours and also valley, uniengine etc. and they will never crash or artifact.
Launch up a game (even non demanding ones) and they could then crash instantly.
I always test OCs from playing games now.

yeah i played BF3 for 30 mins, the temps were a lot lower (see post above).

No artifacts and even better the fan speed was lower haha

Going to be playing for a few hours later so it will be a better test, might even try increasing the memory overclock.

I've found Valley to be quite forgiving. Valley can be nice and stable, but 3dMark will fall over after 30s. I find it best to just try a variety of things to verify stability, rather than just rely on one tool.

Well i ran furmark and heaven a few times over the weekend and was playing games most of the weekend and had no issues at all with either graphics card or CPU overclock :)

Ran Prime95 and OCCT between gaming and everything seems spot on.

Quite pleased with the results so far.

I usually just play some games and if it's not crashed in a few days I assume it's stable. Suppose you need to choose a fairly intensive game for it to be accurate.
