What do to with dead 360 ?

@ Mr Men - are you still here? Crikey.... One thing and one thing only - some consoles wernt produced with the seal so don't even start as I along with many cba with you.

@ Hashcake - I don't understand what you're getting at. I was told by someone who was refused a repair because MS believed he had been trying to reproduce the fault, I asked him and he said he had been doing the towel trick to fix the box before he sent it away.

consoles produced without the seals now? source? or your friend told you?

Nevermind that people here have openly admitted to having broke the seal to mod the console and still got it fixed, but yeah you cba with those sort of things.

And obviously I am still here if you are quoting me LOL, been busy on other sections of this great forum this weekend, but yes still here, still posting, and you love it :D

Well if you don't get my drift there is little point in me explaining again is there?

That's how mine died, graphic corruption followed by total loss of any signal.

Just making do with PS3 for now and thinking of getting a Wii... (not at current prices though!)

lol ^ :D dont forget to video that

looks like the graphics part is dead will not display a image

Have you mistreated it in any way?
you should easily be able to blag a free repair. If you cant blag your way and you couldnt live with yourself going the forced 3RROD route :D

...then you could always send it to local repair shop to diagnose what the problem is. Once they determine what the problem is. pay them for that. Get receipt. You are covered for at least 3 years for electronic equipment under uk common law. Although given the time passed you have to prove that its a manufacturing fault (hence you getting it checked at a reputable 360 repair shop)
Phone MS tell them the story. If they still do not budge over the £60. Take them to court. If you have proof that it is through no fault of your own that the system has failed why should you have to pay to get it repaired? Ohh and also claim back any costs to you for getting the independent estimate on the 360 fault.

christ, what's happening here?

Put the handbags away, and stop fighting you bunch of big girls.

Why can't you just tell a little white lie and say that is has the 3 rings of death? I'm pretty sure that after MS have picked it up and sent it to the repair centre they will fix it for you anyway.... If they kick up a fuss just use the old "Well it certainly had 3RLOD when I sent it to you, are you callling me a liar?".... Or you could always try "Maybe the guy at the repair centre broke it some more, or it happened in transit?"..... If all else fails resort to "I'm not trying to scam anyone here I just want my console to work. Is that too much to ask"?
