Now I'm really not sure about this... So i'm after all criticisms, if you think it's sh*te, please say so.
Of course, if you like it, please say that, too :D

The composition's not right - need more focus on the person I think.

I think it should be:

Left corner drink -> Flowers -> Person (top right) Focus being on the person

Whats it supposed to say to the average eye?

All i see is confusion... and the lack of money is a worry in that persons life... Exactly.. what the hell?

Please enlighten me what its supposed to represent.. i hope it does represent something and isnt just a laugh.. im curious

I'm not going to tell you, or anybody, what it represents i'm afraid. For me it's a very personal photo, but I'm curious to know how others see it.

I guess a simple way to sum up the shot, actually, would be to say that the person in it is extremely unwell [IRL]. However, I'm not necessarily trying to relay that to people viewing the shot...

When you say "focus" do you mean more of the person in the frame, or the person in focus? (focus point was the flowers, shallow DoF)

I mean, the emphasis of the composition should be either on the person or on one main thing that's on the person's mind. If the focus (of the shot) is around the flowers then I would probably emphasise that in the composition. At the moment the message is somewhat confused.

OK cool, well cheers for that :)
I can definitely understand how the whole shot can seem confused & unclear ~ I just wasn't sure how confused and unclear the shot would be to others... Obviously the answer is very! :D

One I'll just keep to meself, then :)

interesting
but it would work better for me if the glass was in crisp focus and the centre of the piece
looks like the focus is on the flowers
