What do you all think of the Inquirer.net?

I know the www.theinquirer.net is generally regarded as a joke by people who actually know anything about computers/technology, and rightly so but what do people on here think of it?

Does anyone actually read it? (apart from having a laugh)

And is anyone else insanely bored or all the Vista bashing they do?

I find it suspicious how all the comments have to be approved aswell when they already have the anti-spam numbers you have to enter when posting. As if they mostly approve ones that agree with them, especially when bashing MS, and/or Vista. Or maybe Inq readers really are that stupid?

It just amazes me how a website, that seems to of been started by some old chav (Mike Magee) and has about 50 million spelling mistakes in every article, spreads FUD daily, plus has very few news articles and lots of personal ramblings by people who clearly have no clue or even journalistic skills, has become so popular...

And imo, MS and Vista deserve the bashing they get. Now that, any techie will appreciate....

I'd like to know why you think Vista deserves bashing?
In comparison to when XP first came out it's way better and infinitely more stable, XP before SP1 was a joke, it had about a million security holes, and one massive one regarding Plug n' Play that managed to get reported all over the TV news.
I think too many so called "tech" people are just teenagers and just go with the crowd, have not even used Vista, and are too young to even remember when older MS OS's came out. They all got bashed at first, and XP got it loads, all i ever heard was "i'm sticking with Win2k, no point upgrading to XP!" now a lot of these same people are the ones who love XP and bash Vista... i'm sure history will repeat itself again. It's funny because the reasons these people bashed XP were the exact same things you hear about Vista now... for instance "2k is more stable, faster, it does everything i need!" etc.
The thing is XP has been around for an abnormally long time without a new Windows OS coming out that people have got so used to it. XP is basically just Win2k at the core with a face lift - the kiddie Fisher Price styling and colours. Not only this but XP was a far smaller technical and features leap from Win2k than what Vista is to XP.

I work with some of the the cleverest computer bods I've ever met. Most of them read it regularly.

They must only read it for a laugh then? I admit they are right sometimes, but it really is 50/50 with them. Most is pure speculation and personal views. Which a tech "news" site shouldn't be about... that's for blogs.

The register (www.theregister.co.uk) beats it imho. And they have BOFH (B*****d Operator From Hell)

Didn't the creator of Inq, also start up the Register? but left or something... i cant remember. I agree it's better though.

Personally i read dailytech.com, just a shame it's american... but the site doesn't look like it was designed by a 10 year old, and while not perfect it's infinitely better than Inq.
