Hi all,

Just wondering what do you clean your monitor with?

I had previously used a microfibre cloth with a tiny amount of warm water on it, but in the direct sun you can see the 'streaks' this leaves on the monitor

What do you all recommend?

Hello. I am really really fussy when it comes to streaks and stuff on monitors. I tried Antec Advance Natural from OC £7.99 with a cloth. Have to say it is just amazing - finish is top notch and bottle last for yonks. Good quality cloth too. I get the dust off the screen with a damp jay cloth, then i little squirt with the Antec. Try it and you will love it. Hope this helps!

I use the same, brilliant stuff and as said the bottle lasts ages.

The tears of Arsenal fans.

I am an Arsenal fan, and it have to confirm that the tears are a superb product and wholeheartedly recommend. Although, a new product 'ManUTd' wipe is said to be on the rise in market share.

On serious note: the Antecedent is a good choice.

Hama LCD cleaning gel is only stuff i found that didnt smear. I just plain old water and microfibre too its the best and a second micofibre and hama gel for the polish and no smear finnish.

I havent found anything better most wipes smear or are too harsh.

Andybird123 do you mean IPA? Or is industrial alcohol spray something else? I have some IPA, water and probably a spray bottle somewhere if that would work but wanted to check what you meant first.

Otherwise I think I'll get the Antec one probably as it seems popular

Thanks!

All I use is a warm wet lint free cloth and then a dry one to dry it off....no smearing :)

I might save some money and try this as I think I'm very close to getting no smearing with my method, but you can just see a few in direct sunlight

Think I need a second cloth to quickly wipe it away with

Will try that

I use "Monster screenclean" as it was meant to be great but I still get streaks which really annoys me.

I last cleaned my monitor about a week ago. I just used Clean Team antibacterial wipes from the pound shop, then dried/buffed with a microfibre cloth. I don't mind admitting to being surprised at the lack of streaks. :D

Fellowes Screen Cleaning Wipes x 100 for around £3

I just take the cape off when I want to use one then fully seal it, will last years.
