What do you collect?

Computer & Laptop Components, got stacks of them! Most are dated now though, still got myself a Pentium 1!
Also, bank notes from around the world, usually uncirculated ones, which aren't used anymore, got about 600 in a file somewhere.

Try to do coins, got a shilling, threepenny bit, and a half penny.

Japanese figures, got some rare pieces now :)

Collections can be huge

Also my granddad collected these before he died, was a POW in WW2 in Signapore region. Got passed down to me. Nothing major but means a lot to me, reading up about it and having AND wanting to look after them.

Every team filled with a lever arch file on every team and the best players in WC history and goals pre 1990, I was only 7 at the time so it was epic and found my love of football and sticker books

tbh its good to collect something no matter what it is, just shows a passion how freaky or uncool it is.

The post above reminded me I've got a load of magazines stored away which I used to collect. Just stopped after some many years and took up storage space. My mum and brothers always complaining to me :D.

These include:
CVG
Gamesmaster
PC Zone
Total Film
Mean Machines
Games
Empire
...
amongst others

The war papers are cool Cheets.

I have never seen a Japanese figurine cost that much!

Well here are some of my more standard figures of the same character, these are normal figure size (they're called figma):

and here is a comparison:

They were sold by online lottery and as soon as the results were declared they were up on auction sites for way over retail value.

They saw you coming.

It's definately worth that much, theres a fairly large market for them, I have no regrets. I'm probably not convincing anyone on here but I think it's awesome :p :D

Do you ever distress the figures you collect, as in weather them to make them look more authentic ?

I have been known to take a dremel to the figures to get them to pose better. A liberal dusting of grout is all that's required for an authentic Stalingrad German figure. There are guys in this hobby who take it above and beyond - Von Abt Kampfgruppe
