What do you do when you're ill?

I can't believe you've only been ill once in your life when you were 12. Either you were born at age 11 and are now 13 or you're a freak of nature and medical experts need samples of your DNA to cure the common cold among other viruses!

Like the title says, what do you do when you are ill?

I love being sick!

I remeber being Ill a few years back at xmas, with man flu. I had just got my copy of World of Warcraft. I remember thinking 'I am NOT going to let this ruin Christmas!!!!!'

I played 10 minutes and fell asleep at my desk

Instantly take the day or 2 off, whatever the illness.
Get a blanket, lie on sofa with tele on, browsing OcUK on laptop, with a pot of tea.

Got ill with a nasty cold, took a day off work, even though i would have probably been able to make it in.

Feel much better today, far more productive, can't put a price on your health!

I am either at work, or in bed all day recovery, there tends to be little inbetween.
Unless its running to the toilet with the skits or throwing up.

I am rather fortunate, very very rarely ill.

I've had the flu all week

I've basically been laying in bed, drinking loads of juice and watching the unbelievably rubbish daytime TV.

At least i can finally open my eyes for long enough to go my laptop in bed now!

I'm ill right now, but I soldier on like a real man. I never take sick days. ****es me off when people in my office are "sick" every Monday, it's completely ridiculous. Then they come in the next day and are completely fine...

Okay, 'routine' sickness is damn annoying, but soldiering on with a bad cold/cough/throat means you aren't working at 100% efficiency is just as bad in some instances, and you'll likely spread it to others. This will probably cause them to be less productive and cost more in the long run than you having just one day off with the sofa. Nobody where I work likes it when people come into work spreading whatever it is they happen to have for this reason.
