I don't know if I want to do SLI, but I think I only want one card. It seem a lot faster then my evga gtx 680 and that's what I want. faster.... I would get a 680 Lightning, but their nowhere to be found? and not the biggest msi fan either... I had 3 faulty msi 7950's 4 months ago.

I have a CM Storm Scout 2 case so the GPU using 3 slots is fine with me. The only thing that worry's me is the weight on the card.

I'm not sure yet on what to do?

The clock speed determines how fast it is. It's the same GPU inside. So, no, it isn't faster and if you overclock your current 680 to the same clock speeds it will be identical speeds. It's still just a 680...

I can't seem to overclock my card very much. It is superclock already.

You do realise you're going to see NO difference going from one 680 to another. It's less of an upgrade than 670 -> 680 and even that isn't noticeable outside of benchmarks. Save your money.

There's only two winners from buying another 680 and getting rid of your current one:

The shop and the tax man.

Your right, but would like the best 680 I can get. I haven't totally ruled out SLI. I might get another 680.

@RetrogamerX

Pointless waste of cash that at best would only be noticeable in benchmarks in regards to exchanging any 680 for another one, if it's for increased game performance, forget it.

Why not just sit it out and wait for the 7 series?

The 680's are going to be pretty much worthless in comparison with today's prices when they land-unless you have deep pockets and don't give a ****.

Pity you kept getting the MSI 79's, possibly would have got more luck out of another brand, but who knows, for some they just can't get it on with the 79's- for whatever reason, be it unlucky at keep getting one from a faulty batch or some other problem hardware/software configuration.

:)

I'm far from rich:( The card looks so cool though:) I was thinking of getting another 680 superclocked for SLI. I can't wait on the 7 series cards. I have the chance to get a new card now. I can't pass this up. If I don't get something now I wont be able to later. I could always sell the card a year form now

You can overvolt a soc with the artmoney hack, will more likely give you higher clocks then any stock locked card.

The 680 Lightnings come with 2*DL-DVI and are the best clockers out (check any hard core benchmarks and the Lightnings are always top).

I didn't know you could over volt with the SOC as well. I thought Lightnings were the only ones to have this ability with the LN2 BIOS but not looked into it.
