motherboard is not compatable with processor. choose either a P67 or Z68. i would recommend the Asrock Z68 Extreme4.

the ram has very tall heatsinks and will interfere with most coolers (although not the one you have) this RAM performs exactly the same, is cheaper, and wont clash with any coolers:

also, i've got a few questions about what you have already:
- what make, model and rating of PSU do you have?
- what kind of hard drive and DVD drive do you have - are they IDE drives or SATA drives?
- what make and model case do you have (if you know)?
- what are you planning on using the computer for other than general use like the internet and watching videos? just gaming, or other stuff as well?

That motherboard is wrong, you need a socket 1155 motherboard to fit the 2600k. What are you going to be using the computer for? Unless you're doing video editing etc you don't need the 2600k, just get the 2500k, as it's just as good for gaming. Personally I'd get 4GB of RAM and add more at a later date if you feel you need it. Then with the money you save on the memory and cpu you could get a better graphics card.

What PSU do you have? And what size monitor do you have? Do you know what resolution you'll be using?

You could get a 2500k instead of the 2600k and spend the money saved on a nice 1920x1200 24 inch monitor!

Gaming and doing anything on a screen res of 1152 X 864 is too small and really wouldnt be fair having such a nice setup and displaying it on such a small res.

What case would you suggest? something kind of cheap but that would fit all my stuff in?
And yeah I have gone for the i5 2500k @ 4.8ghz tho.
But the 4.8ghz isnt final.. I do not think I need that much.

Spend more on the PSU, it's not a part you want to try and save money on! How about this spec instead:

It's a bit more than your original spec but not by much. If you really want to go Z68 for the motherboard rather than P67 you could go for this instead, but it's £40 more:

However, it's a great board that has had some brilliant reviews.

The GTX 460 is a good card and it's on TWO at the moment, though there isn't much between the 5850 and the 460 so it depends which one you prefer:

Having a higher wattage PSU will allow you to go SLI or Crossfire in the future. Also, there's no point paying OCUK to overclock the 2500k for you, it's really simple to do and I'm sure anyone here would be willing to talk you through how to.

edit: if you are also looking for a case, here are a few options:

This. But go for the 1TB F3 and the Silver Arrow if your case is big enough. What is your case?

Yeah, agreed. Unless you really feel you need 2TB, save yourself some money and go for the 1TB F3 like Moothead says, and the Silver Arrow is a great choice too unless you're really set on the H50.

that all looks good now. not sure what cooler youve ordered, but the thermalright silver arrow is £4 cheaper, and its much better. it will definitely fit as there is someone on this forum who has that case and cooler combination (its sodding tight, but it fits)
