hey..

whats generally the best solution to put in your watercooling system? I take it its not tap water!?

would distilled water be ok, or anything non conductive?

Thx

Halford sell it for around £3-4 for 5 litres. Don't forget you will also need an additive such as Zerex to stop build ups of algae and to prevent corrosion.

iodine will prevent algae.
All same metals wont corrode, hell even mixed metals dont. How does our central heating survive  .

Deionised is about 50p a litre in tescos or they do a 5 litre for like 2 quid

Thanks guys..

I've got some aquacomputer AC for preventing algae etc.. so thats cool

Was just wondering where you get it!

Central heating actually does have an additive to prevent algae, corrosion and sludge build up.

A mixture of metals will corrode unless they are anodised. I was a mechanical engineer and we used to see it all the time. So  yourself!!

my central heating has had plain water in for 22 years, the pipes are copper, the boiler is cast iron.

i dont know what all the fuss is about.
