what do you look for when buying a case

Good cable management above everything else for me. With air flow a close second.

A not too 'in your face' exterior helps too.

Meets basic needs: ATX, and air or watercooling support (depends on desires), reasonable HDD support, can fit long graphics cards.
Good Cable Management
Looks good
Well Priced
Windowed - but I'll happily cut my own
Reasonable air flow

1. Looks - don't matter how good it is if it looks like a pos.
2. Airflow - have no interest in going water for the foreseeable future
3. Cable management - make it look pretty inside and aid airflow.
4. Features like tool-less slots etc.

Simplistic designs
Not plastic or steel
Space for desired number fans/radiators

Not overly bothered by price as my cases tend to be more of a long-term purchase (at least 5 years, my Coolermaster ATCS-201-SXK lasted me well over 8).
